Rep. Gina Hinojosa's Social Media
Over the summer of 2022, I had a social media internship with Representative Gina Hinojosa. This was an amazing experience and a dream come true. I’ll never forget my time getting lost in the capitol, interviewing politicians I admire, and getting to know how amazing of a person Gina is!
My main job for this internship was to help with the strategic development of her social media going forward. I was able to make a few posts on TikTok, which were so fun! A lot of my work was behind the scenes, with segment research of younger Texas voters on TikTok, and helping research for Instagram posts. From here I was able to accomplish an increase in TikTok views from 40 to 200 and increased followers by 20%. I am so thankful for this experience, it was very fun, and politics is a road I want to continue on someday. Just not in Texas.
